Head, Agriculture and Allied Sciences Mr. Njubi has been involved in various aspects of Animal Agriculture and development among the smallholders. Mr Njubi has authored or co-authored several research papers relevant to national researchers.
Mr David Njubi was appointed to the National Council for Science and Technology as Principal Science Secretary on 23rd November 2007. Prime responsibilities are generation of advice on matters of S&T, formulation and coordination of the national ST&I policies in Agricultural and Allied Sciences.
Before joining the Council, Mr Njubi worked for over 13 years in various institutions, Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI), International Livestock Centre for Africa (ILCA) and International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI).
Mr Njubi has a Bachelor Degree in Agriculture, Masters Degrees in Animal Science and Information System from the University of Nairobi. Currently he is working on his Doctoral thesis.

Head, Information and Communication Sciences Schedule Mr. Awuor joined the civil service in 1983 as a Hydrologist in the then Ministry of Water Development, soon after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from the University of Nairobi. Post-Graduate Diploma in Engineering Hydrology at the Institute of Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering (IHE) Delft, the Netherlands; and a Master of Science degree in Water Resources Engineering at University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania While in the Ministry of Water Development, he was involved in a number of water resources related studies, chief among which were – the Tana River Morpology Studies and the Water Resources Assessment Project in undertook in 1988. Mr. Awuor crossed over as a Research Officer in the Department of Research Development, in the newly formed Ministry of Research, Technical Training and Technology in 1998. While there, he served at the Kenya National Academy of Sciences (KNAS) as the Administrator. In 1995, Mr. Awuor joined the National Council for Science and Technology (NCST) where he has risen through the ranks to be a Chief Science Secretary responsible for the development and implementation of strategies for the development of Information and Communication Sciences. Over the years, Mr Awuor has undertaken projects from which he has prepared, submitted reports and presented papers in the areas of water resources, climate change and information sciences.

Head, Research Coordination Division Mr. Said S. Hussein joined the National Council for Science & Technology on 1stth November 1983 to 30thrd November 1959 in Wajir District and holds a Master of Science degree from ITC-Netherlands (1995) and a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from University of Nairobi (1983). He is presently an elected member of the Legal and Technical Commission which is an advisory organ of the International Seabed Authority in Jamaica as from 1stst December 2011. Mr. Hussein has served as Secretary to the Geological Society of Kenya from March 2001 to March 2009. He was involved in the panel of Association of Professional Society in East Africa (APSEA) that nominated 15 Professionals to the “Bomas Conference’ on constitution for the Constitution of Kenya Review Commission (CKRC) before it was dissolved. December 2008 as Chief Science Secretary. He worked as geologist with the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources from 7 November 2008. Mr. Hussein was born on 23 January 2007 to 31
